A Concise Review Of The Military Diet

When it comes to losing a lot of weight, in a short space of time, it can seem impossible to do so. However, the military diet promises to help anyone lose as many as 10 lbs in only 3 days. This diet is great for people who need to drop a lot of weight in a short space of time to be ready for a special event such as a wedding, party, school reunion or other event.

Best of all, it doesn't require cutting out any of the major food groups, so there won't be any problems with nutritional deficiencies.

This diet is a three day diet plan that is very specific. On the first day, half a grapefruit, a slice of bread with a tbsp of peanut butter and tea or coffee can be eaten for breakfast. Lunch would consist of half a cup of tuna, toast and a cup of tea or coffee. Dinner would be 3 oz of any type of meat, green beans, half a banana, one small apple and a cup of ice cream.

On day two of the diet, breakfast would consist of an egg, bread and half a banana. Lunch would be a cup of cottage cheese, an egg and 5 crackers. Dinner would be 2 hotdogs (only the wieners), carrots, broccoli, half a banana and half cup of ice cream.




The third and last day would consist of a slice of cheese, a few crackers and an apple for breakfast. Lunch would be a boiled egg and bread. Dinner would be tuna, half a banana and one cup of ice cream. On each day of this three day diet, only 1,500 calories will be eaten per day and it is imperative that nothing else is eaten than what was stated in the above regimen. Of course, as much water as possible should be drunk, but any other snacks or beverages should be avoided.

This is an extremely effective diet and most people will lose 10 lbs within those three days but it may take a week for most of that weight to burn off. In order to increase the rate of weight loss, an exercise regimen can be followed to burn more calories. Of course, this isn't necessary but will definitely help anyone to lose more weight, which is the entire goal of this diet.

The military diet is a no-nonsense type of diet as the name suggests. It will require a significant amount of willpower for those three days, however, the short space of time makes it easy for anyone to do. So, with that said, this is definitely one of the best diets to follow for fast weight loss that actually delivers on its promise, once it is followed to the letter.
