1 – DASH Diet

DASH is the “Dietary Approach To Stop Hypertension” diet. Though initially conceived in the early 19990s, DASH is making a big comeback. By acting as an alternative to the typical American diet often linked to diabetes and high blood pressure, the focus is put on foods such as fruit and veggies, lean meats such as poultry, and low fat dairy (among others). The likes of processed snacks and sugary novelties are essentially reserved for only the most scarcest of occasions. On DASH, you'll be eating anywhere between 1,400 and 2,000 calories a day, which is more enough to leave you feeling satisfied.

2 – Low Carb Diet


Low carb diets such as Paleo or Keto take it one step further; with these, your daily carb intake is limited to anywhere between 20 and 40 grams per day. You're going to have to do a lot of cooking, and the restricted foods list can be brutal, but diets of this kind force your body into a state that burns as much fat for energy as it can. You're going to see incredible results up front (and in the long term as well).

3 – Meal Replacement Diet

Finally, you should also consider replacing meals with blended fruit and veggie smoothies or protein bars. This is an especially popular diet for athletes and vegetarians, but anyone can enjoy its many benefits. The joy of physically eating at every meal is obviously going to be missed, but with the right mix of proteins, fibers, and vitamins, you can easily get all of your essential nutrients while cutting way down on your unnecessary fat and calories.

So there you have it! You've now been introduced to three diets that work, and the rest is largely up to you. You have to ask yourself: how bad do you want it? Imagine your goal weight and how you might look once you've hit it. Bask in how amazing that feels! Just consider the confidence that you'll have once your weight problems are a thing of the past. Even on the most difficult of days, keeping those goals in mind will help you stay focused. As long as you're motivated and as tenacious as can be, there's no denying that you'll be able to drop all of your unwanted weight and leave it far behind.
